I also join in congrats on this fine accomplishment. In Ed’s case, doing it with just 50W is nothing short of amazing while Eric’s east coast location definitely made it a huge challenge, as it is from here on the west coast…standing at 39 confirmed so far but will need some good winter openings and another RI operation!

Congrats to Eric, Ed and every one of the op’s from 50 States that proved this accomplishment was possible at Amateur conditions on 630 meters.
Wondering what achievements are possible on 2200 m!

I considered WAS on 630 meters as not possible.

This past weekend's RI activation facilitated completion of the first
Worked All States (WAS) for two operators, Ed Gray, W0SD, in South
Dakota, and Eric Tichansky, NO3M, in Western Pennsylvania. There are a
number of others within a handful or less now of accomplishing the
same. Hopefully this will act as motivation for some new operators to
get stations on the band, showing what we've all known was eventually
possible, but now with tangible evidence of the viability to carry out
two-way communications over great distances despite the limitations and
challenges.
