The band felt like it was back to normal on Thursday morning with arm
chair stable copy all through QSO's with N9RU and W3TS. Signal were
strong enough and the low noise helped a lot. I was QRT about 10
minutes before W8JI made it to the op position I think.

I was QRT Thursday night but it looks like KD0VBR and WU2D made a
night of it...KD0VBR was consistently into my RBN node. Sounds like
it was a good evening session.

Today (Friday) the band seemed quite good for shorter hops up to 800
miles. N9RU was good copy with a 15 minute rag chew with a bit of QSB
that we fought through and mostly managed. Tom's first CQ had a bit
of echo on it, oddly enough. I don't think it was brain fog or me
hearing things.

W8JI called me with a good signal, peaking 559 around 1044z. We
chatted for a few minutes before he had to go tend to the dogs...

W3TS and I had a go at 1115z and while he received his report, there
was not enough meat on the bone for the peak we were given so busted
Q... Very different from Thursday when Mike was Hi-Fi....

Looks a little better all the way around. Looking forward to whether
W0YSE/7 completed any crossband QSO's last night with his ground in
the SLC area...

73!

John..
