There is quite a bit of CW in the pre-dawn most days that wx allows
and some evenings (some better than others, which will thin out
further as day's get longer). A lot of this is coordinated in the
SLACK chat room that we use as a back channel. Much of that activity
goes un-posted here because those details are being posted there and
guys like W0RPK that keep the records look for the details over there.

I think it can be dangerous to use a list like this to gauge activity
levels. You have to listen to the noise on the radio itself. RBN is
an OK indicator some of the time but no one is guaranteed a report no
matter how hard they work. I try to post every station I hear/work on
DXSummit but I realize that can be a chore. Sometimes we pick up
folks that see those posts so its worth the effort. Similarly there
has been little posted in that QRZ forum until recently when W8JI
began detailing his station building exploits, yet there is activity
out there.

There are quite a few guys working digital QSO modes and those
details are posted in the SLACK chat as well...

We have hit a period of rough propagation of late and most of the guys
in the trenches every night have noticed it. Sunspots are up, solar
flux is up and its can be tough living but its felt more like Summer
band conditions than Winter but many of keep on going. It's not for
everyone...

So you don't have to run WSPR. It has it's place but there is plenty
of other opportunities if you want to lose some sleep and dig in the
noise a bit.

73,

John..
