Hi Neil,
I have a continuing interest in 630 meters but...
I am living on a small lot so no room for large antennas. I have been
studying 'compromise' antennas for 160 meters and 630 meters. At the
moment I have no antennas at all! Some of the HF bands have priority.
I am interested in CW. Not to start a flame war but I have no more
interest in WSPR. I have never been able to make a "decode" even though
I tried a number of times. Before 630 meters was allocated to amateur
radio I did copy some CW on the band and reported that. Reading the list
these days all I see is WSPR reports and I am not willing to do the work
for a mode I do not like. Again..I am not interested in flame wars. I am
not saying WSPR is useless or should be banned or any of that
foolishness. Just not my thing.
I will hook a coat hanger to an appropriate receiver and listen for some
CW on the band. If there isn't any I will just move along. I do hope
that amateurs who are interested in the band, even just on WSPR can keep
enough activity going to keep the band alive.
73,
Bill KU8H
