Hi Dave,
I have my IPO (pre-amp) turned OFF, and sometimes I even turn down the RF gain if there is a lot of noise, so that the agc gives me the same number of bars on the S meter that the noise peaks are at.
I have no idea if that is the best practice or not. But. Thats my story here...
73, Neil
W0yse, now. On JT9 beaconing at dial 1836.6 kHz until SR.
Sent from Neil's iPad....

Subject: [600MRG] Best receiver settings
Been sweeping through the WSPR bands starting with 2200m and am up to 7
mhz ..
630m, 160m, and 80m maps all look near the same every morning @ 5 watts
with 80 and 160 offering the best DX lately..
Can I get a show of hands as for how you set your receivers when
monitoring WSPR or any other sigs for that matter??
For now I use AGC OFF, NB OFF, NR/ANR OFF Am I on the right track??
Thanks from Dave @ aa1a
