[600MRG] FT891 on LF/MF

 I watched with interest the YouTube video that Laurence posted on the KB5NJD blog  for September 13.

 I concur with Lawrence’s experience with the FT 891  radio.  I expressed my concern to Yaesu about the problem of the audio interference below the broadcast band and got the same response from the TechTeam there.

 although I can hear through the audio interference most of the time, I have found that using an LF converter at 10 MHz makes the radio very usable at LF/MF

 I agree with Laurence that hams interested in our new low frequency bands avoid purchasing this radio.
