Very FB Larry, congratulations.

I was considering modifying my 630m array for 2200m when mother nature stepped in force rebuilding. The ice-snow storm we had at the end of February besides killing the utility power for nine days (and we were lucky!), destroyed all my wire antennas, tx and rx, and also knocked down one of the 80’ elements on my 160m array. Fortunately my support poles all survived although at one point I thought they were goners. The wires snapped before the poles!

If I faithfully promise to be up on 2200m by October will you give some thought to holding off tearing down yours? Surely we need to keep the west coast on the air.

Before the storm the reason I’d not been active on 630m was my preoccupation with designing and building some effective directional rx arrays for LF-MF. Those experiments also got knocked down, lots of buckled tubing, but are being rebuilt.

Again, VG work. 73, Rudy N6LF
