LMF (630m) gang,
Last night Don, VE6JY was receiving WSQCall. He was able to decode a couple of xmissions of Roger, VK4YB at pretty decent S/N values (-14 and -15 dB).
WSQ copied at ve6jy:
VK4YB , 21/01/2019, 05:33:21, -14.1
VK4YB , 21/01/2019, 05:35:13, -15.3
Don copied VE7BDQ's pinging of my station for a signal report. He also copied almost all of my xmissions from before my SS to around SR.
If you want to see if you can reach Don's antenna using WSQCall, you can download the pgm at https://www.qsl.net/zl1bpu/SOFT/WSQCALv200.zip Using a USB dial of 474.2 kHz, set the program to +1700 by clicking the UP 200 HZ button, then drag the waterfall to see the bars surrounding the 1700 to 1775 area.
w0yse is running WSQcall (mostly in beacon mode) and you can ping my station for a signal report by typing 'w0yse?' (lower case, ignore the ' marks) into the TX box. Do NOT put a space ahead of my call when you type it or it will not return a signal report to you. It might take more than one try, depending on QRN at both ends of the circuit.
Hope to see more activity tonight. Our thanks to Don for his participation.
