Andy,
Why not heat the shack up in winter??
Don't get diathermied on the thing, maybe for good, maybe not good for
skin..
All as we think of new gadgets and ways to get there...
I continue to string and restring this one piece of wire for working
this band ( it's 10 years old now ) even on a blizzard day...
Doesn't detune much if any...
Thinking of keeping the 630m Tesla in the shack for feeding a VK4 like
wire 35deg up to about 70', then vertical ( radiator ) down lead,
insulated @ ground and continuing on to be a bog wire in to the next town...
Am here at a Edison sweet spot to take advantage of commercial high
lines hardware... Why spend big bux??
The combinations are endless... Ride your portable rx along some AC
lines and see where the 630m launch pad may be...
From here are about 2 miles of 3 phase hv line all the way to the sea..
Glad to see a real ham back, Hi Jay.. Well, you're all doing a great job..
Keep America Great!!
