Well, "that depends". :-)

Some posts should include enough of previous posts so that, as someone said here a bit 
ago, a "new" reader of that post can still see the context of the discussion.

We have to be "judicious" about our trimming, yet try to not get everything and anything that 
is not related sent too.

As I said, I have removed any ability for subscribers to receive a digest. I have never, ever, 
used a digest, and it has become too cumbersome for many members here to put up with.

Besides, as another member just said, it is so "old school" and in my opinion, unnecessary.

I have yet to move the archives from the old forum to this one, and the archives should 
serve much the same purpose as a digest for those who really need such.
