Why ruin a perfectly good radio???

IC-735, IC-706, and IC-718 all do yeoman's duty around here from 17kc to
474thz. ( light ).. No kidding, including 10ghz all mode...

And you can transvert to/from those frequencies and the transmit and
receive signals sound
at least as good as you would expect the IC735 to sound on 40
meters except
use 10mhz. and a mixer for the IF and we can spend another message
thread on that choice...

Plug and play, easy e-bay way...  A good 10mhz. signal source, a
balanced mixer,
an RF amplifier to whatever power you want and there you are...

And you still end up with a perfectly good IC-735...

Cheerie from dave at aa1a, 630m on your dial always with a good Icom radio
of some sort..
