Ken,
Thanks for posting this re. potential of 630m for local traffic. I have been trying to raise awareness of the potential utility of 630m for local emergency communications among our Emergency Comms guys, who are mostly VHF and know nothing about 630m. Any info on your efforts would be helpful as added data for me to use up here.
FYI, the VE7 630m ops are planning to do a 24/7 test/demo of the reliability of the 100km 630m groundwave path from my qth in this island city on the edge of the San Andreas fault to the mainland where all assistance would come from.
