Wow, that is sure bad news.  I have worked John several times on Es when I 
lived in Iowa, and on meteor scatter after I moved to Oklahoma. We sure lost 
a great VHF operator.  This has been a bad week for hams with VE1AL and 
VK6HD also joining the list of silent keys.
