[50mhz] A question for 52.525 FMers ONLY...

Well Chris...perhaps I'm wrong, as I've seen your posts on the 'puter
for a long time.
Yes, I already know 2m FM is ham's CB...I will have to rescind my
comment about 6 until I am
better informed. Very sad about 2m. It used to be where hams would talk
about ham stuff....now, it is
sickening what nonsense is heard. I even hear the words "10-4" and
"breakity-break" on local repeaters here!!!
I have a VERY old 6 meter FM Yaesu. I forget the model, but one of the
first synthesised 2m FM rigs
by Yaesu also had a 6 meter flavor...and I have one, somewheres.
Also, a 6 meter vertical. I never used it, but I think it is a
Diamond...or Comet. About 26 feet or so....BIG!
Perhaps I'll set it up and see what happens on 52.525!
If I set an indoor scanner on the frequency....do you think an opening
might break the squelch? Heck, I'll leave it
on 24/7 for a few months and see if anything ever happens. I could even
put one of those auto tape recorder gizmos on it.
....might be interesting!!
.....Dave
