BPL is virtually a dead issue in Houston, Tx. Centerpoint energy ran
some experiments a few years ago, for consumer uses, but dropped it
due to low subscription levels & a number of technical issues..
They haven't dropped BPL use though, it is being used to monitor
power distribution stations on CCTV in the Houston, Tx. area, but it
operates at frequencies not near those used by ham radio..
