I've used hazers on Rohn 25 for the past 17 years here in the Central
Florida "Wind Belt".

Originally, I had two 30' towers - one with a KT34 tri Band beam and
a 6m7JHV on a 12' mast and the other started as 144, 432 and 1296
F9FT Tonnas on a 12 ' mast.

The second tower soon got a 10 element 222 antenna added to the mast.
The problem soon became where to add antennas for other
bands. Speaking to Steve at DownEast Microwave about adding 902 and
2304 - He suggested adding a small "H" frame to the mast for the
additional antennas. When I ordered the 902 and 2304 loopers from
Directive systems I had them fabricate a 4'x8' "H" frame for me.

The "H" frame originally had 1.2 and 2.3 on the top corners and 902
and 432 on the bottom corners with the 2M and 222 antennas mounted a
little over 1/2 way up the sides. At this time I replaced the 2M, 222
and 432 antennas with M2 33' boom yagis.

When one of the local hams was moving back up north, I was offered a
US tower TMM 541 (42') Crankup for the price of removing it. This
Tower replaced the first tower (with the KT34 and the 6M7JHV) and I
moved the 2M antenna to that tower along with a second 2M beam
stacked on a 20' Chromoly (2" x 1/4" wall) mast.

I was going to move the 432 yagi up the side and add a 3456 looper in
the bottom corner, but, when I spoke to Directive Systems about
spacing I decided to add another Vertical Mast to the "H" frame off
set from the center for the 3456 and add another 432 yagi to the
Stack. Also at this time I took one of the sections from the first
tower and made the second tower 40'.

A few Caveats about the Hazer:

First I used the H4 Models.

Second, after having to Climb both towers to replace the Galvanized
cables (they rust out at the top of the Pulley), I used with 3/16"
Stainless Steel (Hazer Part HR-6310 for 100') This requires that the
holes in the Hazer be drilled out for the larger cable (original is 1/8")

Third order it with the BW-8001 Brake Winch. The original has no
friction brake.

4- Get a Thrust bearing and the Heavy duty Top Pulley when ordering.

5- Replace the Release cable with a good Black Dacron Braided Cord

I have a 1/4" steel cable from the Hazer to the house (left over from
the Guy Cables) and my feed lines are lashed to this
"Messenger" cable with 1/2' cable ties every 2' or so.

I guy my tower at the top with 1/4" guy cables to 4' Screw anchors.

When The Hurricanes come I lower the Hazer and tie the mast and "H"
frame to the tower with rope - two of the guys must be detached from
the Ground anchors to lower the hazer. I reconnect them when the
antennas are down. I have never had a problem with these antennas on
the Hazer even during the usual Florida afternoon Thunderstorms.

The Hazer that I had on my first tower I just sold to another local
Ham and he has a 3 el Tribander, a 3 el Warc Beam and a 2M Ringo on
top of a 10 foot mast on it.

Several local hams have also opted for the Hazer after seeing mine.

The main reason for the hazer is not having to climb to make changes
and replacing Blown Preamps (good old Florida Thunderstorms).

Now I need to find space for the 10 (and future 5760) dishes on the tower.

Pictures available on request.
