Oh, John! Just go ahead and rub it in! [grin]
I was enjoying the opening to New England from my QTH just outside
Atlanta when my power supply (Astron RS-20) decided to die. Looks like
the main capacitor shorted and I have to find a replacement for a
32000uF 25VDC electrolytic in an oddball size. (It's an old Phillips
3168DA 323U025 BMA1 model number.)
I guess I'll have to call Astron in the morning to see if they carry
replacements for less than an arm and a leg.
For the 15 contacts I was able to make, the band was doing great. Had
some nice ragchews, also. Occasional QSB, but tolerable. Hope I can
get back on the air before it all goes away!

Tuesday started out like the previous day, with loud and long openings to the SE US from Oklahoma. I had someone nice ragchews today as the signals were strong with little or no fading for extended periods of time.

While I was seeing spots for 2m Es happening from KS, MO, and TX to Florida (and hearing none here), I caught EA8CQS on CW to finish off my 6m WAC! I also heard CU2JT and CT1HZE on, but already have QSLs from both of them. Still, it was pretty exciting to hear EU coming thru this late in the year. CT1HZE was so loud I was copying him with no problem on 50.125 SSB.
