The problem is there weren't that many 600+ watt 6 meter amps made relative 
to the number of HF amps in that power level made...over the last 20 years. 
That alone is going to drive the cost of available used amps up.  If you are 
looking at current production amps we're back to them costing as much as a 
comparable HF amp.

The point being if one can take an amp like an SB-200 and make a working 
600+ watt 6 meter amp out of it and end up with less than $400 or $500 
invested, it's a great deal.  You need a rig that will drive it thought and 
that's where I have a problem.  My rig only puts out about 20 or so watts 
and probably won't drive a converted SB-200 or like amp to anywhere near 
it's full power potential.
