[50mhz] icom 706

Hi All, I have a question to pose to the group if I may.
I have an Icom 706 mk2g, I turned on this evening to check out the band and 
everything worked.
A couple minutes later I noticed that I wasn't hearing anything so I looked 
at the 706 and the display was out.
I pushed the power button a couple times but all you can hear is a slight 
clicking like a relay that picks then drops
out right away. I checked the fuses in the power cord and the one inside 
and there ok.
I plugged the power supply into another rig and it works fine.
Just wonder if anyone else in the group has ever seen this problem?
I'm trying get the obvious stuff of the way before I really open it up or 
decide to send to Icom service center to
have them repair it.
