The RT68 & 70 are designed for 15khz deviation, about twice that of the
ham standard. You shouldn't have a problem with receiving a narrower
deviation except that the recovered audio will be lower. On transmit, I
suggest you reduce deviation by internal adjustment or by a resistor
across the carbon mike (reducing the voltage) -- otherwise you will
distort in the narrower I.F.bandpass of the other station. I had both
transmitter-receivers at one time and still have the companion R-110
receiver.
