Dick,

Well, they're obviously NOT a bunch of rabid VHF/UHF fanatics, since they
had to be beaten roundly about the head and shoulders by the ham community
even to offer a radio that includes integral 6M coverage. However, the
possibility of a really well-designed RX front-end at a reasonable price
point atones for a multiplicity of sins in my book. I would assume the TX
will be programmable for output power down to 5 watts; that would work with
the Elecraft transverters for 144, 222, and 432 MHz, which can accomodate IF
drive levels from 10 microwatts to 8 watts. Where that leaves you with
respect to other transverters that might require sub-zero dBm drive
insertion levels... I don't know.
