[50mhz] 6 vs 10m FM

Whew...tough question...can work both bands??
As for rptrs, there are 4 main channels on 10 FM...29.62, .64, .66 and .68
(with inputs 100kHz down).
Yet there are rptrs on the odd channels but not as many..Plus 29.5 and 29.6
simplex (29.6 being the Calling Simplex freq)...On 6, you have sooo many
channels.....You can check Artsci.com and its rptr listing at
http://www.artscipub.com/repeaters/ but its by no means correct or complete.
Also, get a copy of the ARRL rptr directory (which is not right all the time
either and the bandplan they push on 6 is NOT used by 90% of the country!)
and look for local systems in your area...
As for which band to use, I personally use BOTH :)...both have been dead but
when the conditions are right, 6 can open when 10 is still dead..so its hard
to call for you.
