[50mhz] 6 vs 10m FM

I'm getting ready to restore a vintage Hammarlund FM-60A transceiver.
Not sure of the mixing scheme yet. I'm waiting for the op/svc manual.
It covers both 10 and 6 meters FM with the proper crystals.
I need to make a decision as to what band to pick 10 or 6.
Is there a site that lists repeater frequencies by location? 
Any opinions on what band to pick based on activity around my grid FN31 ?
Would 29.6 simplex be a good option?
