[50mhz] Help with TS660-no receive on 6

I just got a used Kenwood TS660 in today, and while it seems to work ok on the HF bands-including a couple of nice 10 watt QSOs on 15 meters-it has little or no receive on 6m.  It transmits fine on 6 according to a local friend here, but I was unable to hear him on receive.  It does have very low level receive, as it was able to pick up the signal from my Icom T81A on 6 FM, but couldn't receive anything outside the house.  And the background noise is very low also. Any ideas as to what could be wrong here?  Hopefully something I can fix myself as this seems like a nice older radio.
