I'm not sure about longer John but our opening extended into Quebec.
The VE2 stns were everywhere and the VA2MGL beacon in FN47uq
at 5w was 579 here.  Later at 0157, I worked N5JB near Dallas on  CW.
I was hoping skip conditions would shift further west but it never  happened.
Heard big gun K1GUN calling for west coast stns but he got no takers.
 
Heard VE9GE a few minutes ago working a pileup on 120.  Yep,  it's
gonna be a good Es season.
