If you are running 'QRP' (just about anything < 11 Watts), stay
off the standard "channels" everybody uses.  Move to something
like 137.5, or 142.5, or 147.5, etc.  Then keep calling CQ until
a 'proficient' operator runs across you.  Once you attract 1 or
2 stations, more will follow.
