The c-cell module has an external power port and a charger port.
The external power will disconnect any internal batteries.
The charger port is for hte NC-26B, NC-26C, or NC-26D charger units.
There are no charging curcuits in the c-cell battery case so the charging
source needs to be smart enough to regulate the charge properly.

The bonus to this is a good 13.5v or equivilant NIMH charger can be used for
NIMH batteries for longer life/charge.

As mentioned earlier, I do have a operating manual for the 690rII that I
will photocopy for the cost of shipping.
