Well, I HEARTILY disagree with those who think N3FJP's programs cost too
dearly .. I too, used CT from the git-go, while in KL7 land .. and NA ...
paying customer for both ... The ONLY thing that comes to mind I find
lacking is the
"Super Partial Checker", which I found real handy, especially while using my
diddly dah stick. I have the entire CT site on a CD here, but I find the
N3FJP program(s) more suitable for my needs at this time. The program takes
advantage of today's powerhouse computing capabilities, making super fast
logging when a high number of Qs have been entered! John, AC by N3FJP IS a
logging program, with different elements, if you will .. afterwards, you
simply import your contest log into the general station log, then you can
upload the entire morass to LoTW site and VOILA! Your logs are updated in
your computer, and at Logbook of The World......
and, your contest logs (in Cabrillo format) are easily sent on their way in
a matter of minutes after the contest. If I don't need to go over logs
with a fine tooth comb, I have my info on the way to the contest sponsor
within 5 minutes of the contest end.
As to having to purchase each contest separately, that is a PLUS, if you
only do one or two contests each year. If you want them all, you are
looking at $39, if you download the programs yourself! That is what I do
... and have the latest/greatest version at all times. UPGRADES ARE FREE!
Gosh, getting to sound like a commercial! Usual disclaimer .. no $$
connection on my part! Just enjoy the product and the support provided!
Heck, see for yourself ... download and run a free trial!

>From the N3FJP site:

N3FJP Software Purchase Options
Register an individual program.
Registrations for my programs are only $6-$19 each.

N3FJP Software Package & CD - $49.00 (shipping/handling included)
This Purchase Option includes registration of all the amateur software on a
CD. It also includes automatic registration of any additional Amateur Radio
software programs that are added to the package. This Option is a great
deal! To purchase the CD and register all of the programs individually would
cost $350.00!

N3FJP Software Registration Package without CD - $39.00
This Purchase Option includes registration of all the amateur software. It
also includes registration of any additional Amateur Radio software programs
that are added to the package. The CD is not included in this option. This
Option is also a great deal! To register all of the software individually
would cost $337.00!

N3FJP's Software CD - $13.00 (shipping/handling included)
This Purchase Option is the CD only - NO registration of programs.

You may also register one or more programs and purchase a CD. Just add the
price of the program(s) to the base price of the CD ($13.00).

73, Y'all .. Mark, AA6DX
