C'mon, it's not brain surgery!

Cut it 468/50.2 and don't worry.

And insulated wire lasts many years longer than the crappy little =
stranded "antenna wire"

It boggles my mind to consider all the fellows worrying about insulation =
and velocity factors on hf and vhf elements.


My first 6 meter antenna consisted of two discarded multisection =
collapsible AM bcb car antennas butted (and soldered) together,fastened =
to a piece of wood .Feedline was Rg-58, shield attached to the center of =
the antenna and the coax center conductor (formed the hypotenuse of a =
right triangle )tapped out maybe 8 inches from the antenna center.It's =
called a delta match.

It was good enough to make non-skip contact 75 miles through rolling =
country using 100 watts -to a station also using 100 watts and an =
average beam,don't remember if he had 5,6, or 8 el).

Don't let yourself get sidetracked from getting on by all the swr =
fanatics.
