A node of what???
Hooking a radio to the internet for total access is illegal under
Part 97 rules....remote control of an amateur station requires
a lot of protection...if you havent read Part 97 on Telecommand,
I HIGHLY suggest you do so...JUST because you can do it does NOT make
it legal...nor that anyone else does it makes it legal too!!!
I have a BIG problem with ILINK and ECHOLINK....luckily IRLP ONLY
allows radio to radio linking...NO PCs direct connect into the network..
THIS is the LEGAL way to do it.....No flames on "stopping progress,
etc"...Im for it...but also for following the rules AND keeping it
legal..The service name is amateur RADIO...not PCs talking on the air.
(so much for my $.02)
