There seems to be a lot of variance with reputed antenna gain.
There are two types of ratings, one is DBi (Isotropic source) and DBd
(dipole.).
I have a Hy Gain 4 element, and it has, according to the dox, 10.35 DBi or
8.2 DBd
That is with a boom length of 12'
I'm in the process of setting mine up, replacing rusty nuts and bolts, and
making sure all parts are as they should be.
Normally, the longer the boom and the more elements, the higher the gain.
Spacing of elements makes a difference in both gain and side rejection.
I don't have any figure for the antennas you ask about, as they don't seem
to be current models as listed in the HRO catalog, and I don't feel like
digging up the AES catalog.
