Hi Dennis:

Just read your receiver dilemma off the 50 MHz reflector. Your best bet
would be to go with
the Motorola Minitor pagers from That Bay Place (  :)  )

However, you could always check Ramsey Electronics for a low-band receiver
kit (it's a lot
less expensive than Hamtronics), and the neat thing about Ramsey is, you
don't have to buy
the case to put it in. You could buy, say, 4 or 5 (or however many you're
looking to buy), and
mount them in your own case. Of course, powering each one would require some
really
tricky wiring...
