Thanks Mike and Ray for your responses. A pager or alert receiver
would be ideal in this application. However, I checked that E place
and what I saw was a little more than what I wanted to spend on this
idea. Others have suggested kits, and although I'd love to put a
series of Hamtronics kit receivers in this use, I really can't
mortgage the house to fund that idea. :)

Mike, if you could find that information that would be great. Alert
receivers by Motorola, Plectron, or similar would be great at the
right price. I'm thinking I would need about 8 vhf lo and a couple
of vhf hi eventually. I'm beginning to think now that I should do
this in stages, if for no other reason to preserve domestic
tranquillity.

			Thanks again
									Dennis
