[2m] [La Crosse Hams] rebuilding a HXT 202 Ni-Cd battery

Jim,

I have an HTX-202 that has a battery that does not hold a charge.

I checked the wall adapter, it says Realistic Model 19-1120. The specs are a
follows:

*Input* - 120VAC, 60 Hz, 3 Watts

*Output* - 12 V DC, 100 mA

Also note the inner barrel on the connector, which goes to the pin on the
battery is the positive connection

I use this rig very little, but have also been using it with a mobile power
cord and running off 12 V in the car.
