Hi all,
Well I think the subject line my be a bit miss leading. The battary holds a charge. The problem is that the DC plug, the pin got pushed back and the DC charger does not in gage it right to charge it now. So I guess it does not need a full rebuild. I was thinking I might be able to open it up and maybe fix it. I have never opened one or rebuilt one so I am on new ground yet again in ham radio.
I have searched in vain for a wall wart charger. So I have been charging it with a portable DC supply from the DC plug on the battery. Any body that has this rig. could you look and see what there wwall worts says please? I asked a while back I think the input is 120 AC and the oup out is 12 volts at like 300 mili amps if I remember right. The thing I dont remember is if thats AC or DC out put. I googled it, but what I found just said 12 volts out at 300 mili amps. not weather that was AC or DC. Can somone help me out?
I have my eye on a 404 so I can at least work the birds "maybe for the VHF QSO party" dont know. It would be cool to work the birds with 2 classic rigs like these.
