[2m] MFJ-1432 Dual Band antenna

Good Evening folks!

I have the afore mentioned antenna, and am beginning to experience some high
swr across both 2m and 70cm.  I have seen several mentions around that the
antenna can be disassembled and the fold-over hinge cleaned, but I have yet
to determine how to dismantle the base of this antenna so that it can be
throughly cleaned. Looking for advice here other than sending it back to
MFJ. Anyone that has experience with this whopper of a dual band antenna, I
would love any advice that you have.
