I've owned a V8000 for about a month, and it's a good little rig;

(sensitivity, :
pretty good, the only down side i think it is maybe too sensitvity; i get a
lot of "ker-chunking" one signals that JUST pop the squelch, I have to set
mine a little higher than i did with the 2100h to make sure I don't get
that problem.

adjacent channel rejection,
not really had much problems or use with this, can't comment a lot, but see
below.

  intermod rejection, etc.)
i took a drive into the heart of Kansas City, by Saint Lukes; and i got
quite a bit of intermod, it wasn't too bad, the .820 repeater was coming in
enough to copy, though I was loosing about 10-20% of it due to intermod,
once the .820 unkeyed the radio went silent. as i was expecting to hear
tons of noise, but i got none.

overall I would say this rig is well worth the money.

Thanks for your time,

Glen Briggs
