I'm looking for feedback from people who own the new Icom IC-V8000 2m
mobile rig. Specifically, I'd like to know how you feel about its receiver
(sensitivity, adjacent channel rejection, intermod rejection, etc.). I'm
considering purchasing an IC-V8000 to replace a Yaesu FT-3000M (the QST
reviews of the two pretty much show that the receiver spec differences are a
tradeoff -- some better, some worse), and I'd like to make sure that the
Icom's receiver would be as good or better than the Yaesu's before I buy it.
I've also recently owned an Icom IC-2100H. I felt that the IC-2100H had an
excellent receiver, probably better than the Yaesu. However, based on the
specs, it doesn't look like Icom used the IC-2100H's receiver in the
IC-V8000.
Any information would be appreciated!
