Use as many radials as you can as long and straight as you can make them and in as many directions as you can. If you have fences or other large metal objects, tie them in to the wire ends also. 8 radials will work, but 15-30 would be much better. I think you are on the right track. An Inverted L would be much better in most cases than an Inverted V. The little slant won't hurt. 73, Tom W8JI
