[10m] okay maybe if I go first...

Welcome Henry,

I have the HTX-10 in my truck (25W, SSB/AM/FM) running to a 1/4 wave
vertical (yes, I have an almost 8' whip bolted to the bed!) I've worked
several S. American stations, and up into Canada, but nothing across an
ocean, yet (propagation is just not there). Also sometimes work 10 on my
TenTec Omni in the house, but since it can go all bands, I'm only up there
if it's open. I can always drop down to 20 or 40m when the S falls (like
now).
