[1000mp] Key jack mod?

I've heard of a modification for the FT1000MP-V which does not change the
normal functions of the front key jack to use paddles, etc "normally" but
changes the rear key jack to only off-on manual keying for computer
generated cw.  Does anyone have the details on this mod, and if so, have you
been successful in making it and getting the desired results?  Idea is to
use computer generated cw but still have the option to also use paddles
without having to change any menu settings (in the middle of a QSO).
