[1000mp] FT-100MP Mark V problem............

Hi All, I have a Mark V Field and this problem start a few days ago. The
power output dropped to about half on 20 meters and goes down to about 25
watts on 10 meters. But from 160 to 40 meters I have full power, I do not
know if this is a common problem or it is something special. I was just
curious if anyone else has seen this, I have had this rig for 13 years
(bought it new) and I love this radio. Anyway I shot an email off to Byron
Campbell to book a slot for repair.

Follow up:

I sent the rig to Byron Campbell,W4GEG and he found the push-pull driver
transistors were failing, as some replies had suggested.
He also did:
CW key click mod  
NB Gate switching mod
AGC Fast mod
RF Unit RCVR front end transistor update
Full Alignment

I am very pleased with his work and great communication throughout the
process.  I would highly recommend him to anyone like me who cannot do this
work himself. If this was a Collins or Drake rig no problem, but smt
components not for these old eyes and hands. Glad to have the rig back home,
and looking forward to maybe another 13 years. I want to thank all who
responded to my SOS with some great thoughts.
