[1000mp] Differces between Real Time Scope and Scanned Display

Keep in mind that oscilloscopes connected to a receivers I.F. stage are
showing you in real time the whole viewable spectrum in real time ....
same for the SDR-IQ display. All you see on the display is real time for
the full range displayed, no delays from one end to the other end of the
spectrum range being displayed.

When a program scans your receiver across a frequency range, it is only
real time at the single frequency location at the moment it is
receiving. All earlier scanned frequencies on the display are 'old' in
the past.

How does this make a difference? Many utility and military transmissions
are very very short. You will see them pop up on the scope and the sdr,
but you probably wont on the scanning program presentations.
