[1000mp] FT-1000MP Tx No Output

Unless your multi-meter is an HP-410 (A, B,or C) that can measure RF
voltage you should probably find someone one with a scope [30 Mhz
bandwidth+] and signal generator to work with. Maybe that is worth doing
even if you have a 410.
The old boat anchors¹ required signal generators and RF measuring
instruments when you needed to repair them. The big change is that if you
find a problem, you might find it very challenging to make a fix on one of
the boards with surface mount devices.
Troubleshooting the FT1000X units is one thing, repairing them sometimes
is very challenging and not a good idea for folks with hand tremors and
marginal electronic shop experience. Still, the units are worth repairing
because they work very well when everything is as it should be.

time }
