Byron is the best. He only works on YAESU radios. I have had my Mark-5 to
him two times and am very satisfied. You need to email him about your
problem and find out when he can service your radio.

I am now looking for recommendations from someone stateside for Yaesu
repair.

Thank You John for the latest reply.  My frustration level is pretty high.
I was trying to work TO2TT today for an all time new one.  I was able to get
the radio to stop tuning down yesterday.  I do not know what I did that
caused this. The radio had done pretty well during the 30 minutes I used it
on 80m before my sunrise.  I could hear the TO2 on 18Mhz, a friend about 15
miles from here worked them.  I gave on call and the radio started tuning
down in frequency about 5 seconds later.  I have been unable to get it to
stop.  Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

I will borrow a radio from a good friend tomorrow, but I would like to get
this one repaired and back before CQWW CW (my favorite contest).

So if anyone has recommendations for a good place to get this one fixed I
will send it off.
