[1000mp] problem

Hello Tom,
 
Replace the T/R relay, it's available at RF parts!
 
The board that has the T/R relay is underneath the PA on the left side of  
the radio looking down from the top.  You should resolder all the RFplug  in 
jacks that go to that board, I have seen and heard of a number of cold  
solder joints on the RF plugs.
