Hi Bob & Ted,

Another possible track: if the MOX button is pushed or your PTT is 
blocked for some reason when you turn your transceiver on, it will stay 
in receive mode until the PTT or MOX is released. That's a good 
protection in my opinion.

So, if your MOX button is pushed, or if something makes your TX "think" 
that the PTT is pushed (short circuit somewhere ?), it will indefinitely 
stay in receive mode until they are released and pushed again.
