What?  You have it all backwards.  The FT1000MP is 100W and the power
supply is internal.  Look at the subject line: FT-1000MP VS FT-1000
FIELD.

Hi Billy,

 From what I know, it's only the output power that differs. 200W for the

MP and 100W for the Field. So the MP's power supply is external (vs 
internal for the Field).

There may also be a little difference regarding the "A class" mode in 
SSB: many people have reported burning their PAs while using that mode 
on the MP. It is supposed to have been enhanced on the Field (which is 
the model I own) but to be honest, I never dared to try. :-)

All other characteristics are identical, to my knowledge.
