Typically the easy-set is selected by holding the
pkt button for at least 2 seconds.
The other situation you are finding is due to fact that
every time you enter menu 8.6 "fresh", that causes it to
set the option to "off". So, each time you go there to check
it, you turn it off. Therefore, when you check it, go back
to basic level and turn it ON before exiting the menu. I also
normally move the menu selection to another setting before I
exit the menu so that I don't inadvertently turn easy-set off
by simply entering the menu mode.
