[1000mp] PSK31 on FT-1000MP & MENU 8.6 Easy-Set

Dear Dave:

    You still need a self contained USB box such as "SignaLink USB" that is 
connected to computer through USB port and that is connected to radio using 
"packet" port.

    I go to 8.6 and set the EASY-SET to USB.  Follow the suggested offsets 
and such that are contained in the table found in the manual for USB.  To 
use, one needs to press and hold PKT.    Note:  hold

    I use digital modes on circuits that are shared with USB voice.  With 
the scheme described, I just press and hold PKT and I can transmit digital 
in the middle of the USB channel.  To go back to voice, I press USB.  No 
changes are needed to the frequency.

    SignaLink takes care of keying the transmitter, setting transmit audio 
level and setting received audio level.
